Agrupamento de Escolas de Amareleja
Agrupamento de Escolas de Amareleja” is a group of schools located in the south of Portugal, 9 kms far from Spain and 90kms far from Beja – district capital – and its Municipality District is Moura. This school is situated in a poor rural region with a high rate of unemployment and a lot of social problems. Thus, and since we intend to keep on creating opportunities for our students so they can improve and develop into a real European context to reach their personal, civics, human and professional goals, it is our greatest wish to take this project to open/spread our school to international partners and, of course, to work with them in order to promote the growth of our education and local community, as well as our learning/teaching possibilities. To work on this project will be something of high value for all of us, since it will be done by all school departments of all, teaching levels and, afterwards, disseminated to the school, local and municipality community – this is a great opportunity to launch our students and their future lives into centre of Europe, and to keep on working on what we have been doing so far: creating different possibilities so our students, teachers and staff can reach success now and in the future, as well as their families. Furthermore, this will be a pioneer project for all our community and it will bring us all, for sure, amazing benefits not only as far as methodologies and pedagogies are concerned but also on lifestyles, lives in general, future contacts for future projects.
