Our school was first opened in 1960 for education with one classroom and one lodging. The combined class (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th class in combination) was applied. Our school continued education in this way till 1997 when the education volunteer and Ömerli Mayor Dr. Erdal Yilmaz and his wife Saadet Yilmaz rebuilt it. In 1998, the building was moved to the present building and the education is being continued here. Between 1998 and 2003, our school continued to implement the combined class application. In the academic year 2012-2013, as a result of the transformation, our school turned into a primary school and still continues education with 96 students, 6 teachers and 1 manager.

Our school is a nice school situated in Istanbul-Çekmeköy. In 2012-2013 academic year, our school transferred to the status of primary school with the 4+4+4 transition system. Currently there are 96 students, 5 classrooms, 1 special education class, 1 library, 1 guide service, 1 guide teacher, 6 grade teachers, 1 PD teachers, and 1 manager continues the education. Single training is done at our school. Our school’s extracurricular activities are within the scope of folk dance, rhythm group, chess and scouting activities are carried out as well. In our special class, there are 4 students and there are three students in supportive class.

Through the general objectives of Turkish National Education, to train innovative individuals and who depend on to the principles and reforms of Atatürk.

Of course, our educational goals have expanded to include goals at international level aside from local and national goals. In order to catch up with the changing lifestyle and educational moves, our school aims to expand its horizon to serve educational needs at national and international level by attaching importance to the power of cultural and art activities. In an attempt to contribute to the expectations of a wider audience, our school has been involved in various activities and projects so far.
